University College P&T Timeline

UNIVERSITY COLLEGE 2023-2024 P & T Schedule
3rd-, 4th-, 5th-, 6th-Year , Promotion-only and Tenure-Only Dossiers

2023

April/May – External reviewer lists received from Discipline Coordinators; DAA/CAOs send to Office of the Senior Vice President for Commonwealth Campuses (OSVPCC) narrative statement, CV, copies of publications of candidates for 6th-year, promotion only, or tenure-only reviews

May/June –External reviewers are selected by the Senior Associate Dean for Faculty and Research and materials sent

August/September – DAA/CAOs and/or P & T committees identify and contact disciplinary reps from other campuses to serve on individual campus P & T committees

September 12 – By this date, schedule campus P & T meetings and submit campus P&T committee lists and campus statements of P & T procedures/guidelines to OVPCC

On or before November 10 – 3rd-, 4th-, 5th-, 6th-year; promotion-only; and tenure-only dossiers due from campuses to OSVPCC. Completed dossiers are uploaded to secure Promotion and Tenure Online Review Platform (PTORP) for all levels of review.

Week of Nov. 27-Dec 1 – UC P & T Committee charge meeting with Dean and Senior Associate Dean for Faculty and Research

2024

January 26 – UC P & T Committee chair sends draft letters for all reviews to the Interim Dean and Senior Associate Dean for Faculty and Research.

February 1 – UC P&T Committee chair returns original, signed letters and P&T forms to OSVPCC.

February 1 – *** All factual changes or new information must be submitted by this date. ***

February 28 – successful 6th-year, promotion-only and tenure-only dossiers forwarded to OHR for review by the University P&T Committee; and any negative decisions (including 5th and 4th –year) are returned to the campuses

March 29 – Dean review of 3rd, 4th-, and 5th-year dossiers completed and returned to campuses

NOTE: Please notify OVPCC (Judy) of any expected new factual information that will be added to the dossier.

2nd-Year Dossiers (2024)

March 29 – 2nd-year dossiers due from campus in OSVPCC

April 1 – 2nd-year dossiers requiring consultation forwarded to UC P & T Committee

April 15 – UC P & T Committee returns 2nd-year dossiers to OSVPCC

April 30 – Dean review of 2nd-year dossiers completed

May 10 – 2nd year dossiers and review letters sent to campuses
