Office of the Senior Vice President for Research

The OSVPR site provides links to research resources available at Penn State. Sections of particular interest: research centers, facilities and laboratories; information to guide proposal development; information about the resources to ensure research is conducted in accord with regulations protecting human participants, animals, students, and personnel; and online training courses and workshops.


Office of Sponsored Programs

The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) facilitates proposal submission, award review, contract negotiation, and subaward issuance. 

OSP ensures contract terms and conditions:

  • Protect the interests of Penn State faculty, students, and postdoctoral fellows
  • Safeguard Penn State’s institutional interests
  • Align with Penn State’s policies and mission
  • Comply with applicable state and federal laws

Office of Research Protections

The Office for Research Protections (ORP) ensures that research at the University is conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines that protect human participants, animals, students, and personnel involved with research.

My Research Portal

Provides Principal Investigators (PIs) with real-time, web-based access to administrative data, including financial data and negotiation progress notes, associated with their sponsored research.


Methodological and Statistical Assistance

  • The Statistical Consulting Center
    This center is run by the Department of Statistics. It offers "Stat-on-call" services to Penn State faculty in all disciplines. 
     
  • The Methodology Center
    The Center is operated by the College of Health & Human Development (HHD). It
    provides links to information on research methods, free software, short courses in
    methodology, and eResources (short training podcasts and videos).
