Integrated micro/nano-electronic circuits (ICs) are a foundational technology that enable advancements in artificial intelligence, 5G/6G communication, security, scientific computing, quantum computing, and more. The aim of this solicitation is to dramatically lower the barriers to accessing state-of-the-art electronic design automation (EDA) tools, process design kits (PDKs), and design intellectual property (IP) cores for students and academic researchers, and to enable students at various levels to design IC chips.
This program supports individual scholars pursuing significant humanities projects that require digital expression and publication. It provides recipients with time to conduct research, prepare publications, and develop and incorporate multimedia or interactive components using existing technologies and platforms.
The National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Directorate for Engineering (ENG) continually seeks to advance engineering and scientific progress in research and innovation while broadening participation and inclusion of the full spectrum of diverse talents in engineering and science fields. This Dear Colleague Letter (DCL) seeks to inform the community about an opportunity to pursue both goals through Planning Grants for the development of Emerging Frontiers in Research and Innovation (EFRI) proposals.
With this Dear Colleague Letter, the National Science Foundation (NSF) Division of Earth Sciences (EAR) within the Directorate for Geosciences (GEO) together with the Division of Equity for Excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) (EDU/EES) in the Directorate for STEM Education (EDU) continue to further expand the diversity of investigators exploring the dynamics and processes within Earth's Critical Zone (CZ), the region that ranges from the weathered bedrock beneath the soil profile up to the top of the vegetation canopy.
The National Science Foundation's (NSF) Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) invites recipients with certain active CISE awards with Broadening Participation in Computing (BPC) Plans to submit requests for BPC Supplements.
This program supports groups of two or more scholars seeking to increase humanistic knowledge through convenings, manuscript preparation for collaborative publications, the creation of scholarly digital projects, or the planning of an international collaboration.
The program offers grants to individual authors for research, writing, travel, and other activities leading to the creation and publication of well researched nonfiction books in the humanities written for the broad public.
This program supports collaborative teams who are editing, annotating, and translating foundational humanities texts that are vital to scholarship but are currently inaccessible or only available in inadequate editions or translations.
The National Discovery Cloud for Climate (NDC-C) is a National Science Foundation (NSF) initiative to pilot efforts to build an integrated national-scale cyberinfrastructure capable of supporting end-to-end climate research and education. NDC-C goals include the development, augmentation, and integration of support of the climate research and education communities. This Dear Colleague Letter expresses the interest of the Office of Advanced Cyberinfrastructure (OAC) in receiving proposals relevant to the NDC-C goals.
The Directorates for Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) and STEM Education (EDU) are launching the EducateAI initiative to support educators to make state-of-the-art, inclusive AI educational experiences available nationwide. With this Dear Colleague Letter (DCL), EDU and CISE encourage the submission of novel and high impact proposals that advance inclusive computing education that prepares preK-12 and undergraduate students for the AI workforce.
